OBJECTUS

OBJECTUS — a surreal world where humans have merged with their most valued possessions. It invites you into an ever-growing collection of strange, endearing creatures that inhabit the age of the object — a time where the line between organic and non-organic no longer holds.

As humans, we’ve already begun the evolution of synthetic materials. Objectus simply asks: what if that evolution continued on its own? It takes the power we have over material and the earth away from us and makes us equal to the animals.

Through absurd and poetic stories, Objectus explores themes of obsession and transformation. A creature built from scissors compulsively cuts everything in sight until nothing remains. Someone who drinks ten coffees a day might eventually become one with caffeine itself.

Using stop-motion puppets, we create miniature scenes that capture the habitats of these beings — fragments of a world both alien and eerily familiar.
