OBJECTUS

OBJECTUSInvites you into an ever-growing collection of strange, endearing creatures that inhabit the age of the object. A surrealistic world where the line between organic and non-organic no longer holds.

As humans, we create evolution by converting material to object. Objectus asks: what if that human-made evolution continued on its own and intertwines with us? It takes the power we have over material and the earth away from us and makes us equal to all living beings.

Objectus explores themes of obsession and transformation. A creature built from scissors compulsively cuts everything in sight until nothing remains. Someone who drinks ten coffees a day might eventually become one with caffeine itself.

Using stop-motion puppets and illustration, I create surrealistic imagery that capture these creatures — fragments of a world both alien and eerily familiar.
